They got me in 5 minutes before they closed, got the smog done, and also gave me a quote on some other things that I need done. They went above and beyond! This is how a business is supposed to be ran. Will be back again soon.

Best spot in town

Quite simply, these guys are honest, hard-working, do great work and don't overcharge. Julio took care of my car last time and really went above and beyond. That's what prompted me to write this review. It's hard to find honest mechanics who really know what they're doing. These guys are the best.

I wanted to give this place a well thought out review so it took me a little while to put it together. I first found this place on a recommendation from another friend. Glen was running it at the time and was a real straight up guy, so I followed them and continued to use them after they moved to their Midway location. Now Julio has taken over and he's fantastic. He is a certified Toyota tech and came over from the Toyota dealership to run his own shop. It is the only repair shop that I will trust with my car. If they have time they even give the car a quick detail. Now let's talk price, I've shopped around a lot in the past and they have beaten all the other places in town while letting you know how much they value you. They even have a discount on Yelp right now for an oil change. This is where I would go to get a full synthetic oil change for my sports car. It beat out Jiffy Lube by nearly 40%. It's worth calling them to see how much it runs for your car. Because I live downtown I was able to get a courtesy ride home because my car was expected to be there for over 3 hours one day. I even got a ride back to the garage and they had gone above and beyond and cleaned the outside of my car. It's these little touches that keep me coming back. They do a great job making you feel comfortable and treat you like family. I've never had one problem with them. Luckily I've always gotten in right away and never had to wait, but I know they have a great reputation and a lot of cars come through in a day. They do a great job organizing their schedule and I'm never in there for long for anything little. I do usually call ahead to see if it's ok that I bring my car in though.

One heck of a place with awesome graffiti art and service to boot. I took my car in after seeing a check engine light and within minutes I was told the mass air flow sensor set it off. They went the extra mile cleaning the sensor and resetting the indicator in time for me to catch my lunch. I was shown were I could buy the part in case it failed on me and was invited to their upcoming graffiti art event and Halloween party. Talk about friendly and inviting. Oh and less I forget, the work was complimentary!

My 07 S550 had 2 front air shocks that were no longer able to lift the car up. The dealer wanted over $3k to do the work I was referred to Dragonfly by a good friend who also takes her Mercedes to Dragonfly. I found their info via Facebook & their Yelp page after doing a Google search and spoke with Joe. I was quoted a price on the parts to fix and labor almost instantly. I really couldn't believe the price he had quoted me and asked if that was plus tax, maybe plus other parts he confirmed and said no that would be your total. After was all said and done I saved a ton of money and the car now rides and drives like it had never happened. I def would recommend these guys to any one with a European car. I will be bringing my wifes X5 her from now versus the BMW dealer in Kearny Mesa. Thanks Joe and Dragonfly for everything! MK

I've been going here since I moved to SD 2 years ago. I was so impressed with the original owner and have continued taking my car here through the transition when he fell ill. I was really sad to see him go, he was the type of guy that advised me AGAINST replacing my clutch because I didn't really need it. I really respected his honesty and wish him well. All this being said, in the last few weeks Julio bought the shop and is running it with some of the old staff. He had some big shoes to fill in my eyes, but I was SOOO impressed. He was honest, sincere and instead of charging me replace my catalytic converter, he found the actual issue and saved me a lot of money. The most important part of all this was, I felt really comfortable and know he's honest. That will keep me coming back and telling my friends about Dragonfly. When I come here, I feel like I have a cousin thats a mechanic. Thats how comfortable I feel and how much I trust them. Take your car here and find out for yourself, or come back if you were like me and a fan of the original owner. Would give six stars if I could!
